Reporting to senior IT/security leadership, the Assistant Manager Information Security will help design, implement, and monitor enterprise-grade security controls that safeguard NLC’s data, applications, networks, and cloud assets. The role blends governance (policies, risk, compliance) with operations (SOC, detection, incident response, vulnerability management). You’ll collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and business teams to embed security-by-design, reduce attack surface, and improve mean-time-to-detect/respond across NLC’s national footprint.

- Governance & Compliance: Assist in developing and enforcing information security policies, standards, and SOPs aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments for projects, applications, and vendors; maintain risk registers and track remediation to closure.
- Security Operations (SOC): Run/coordinate SIEM monitoring, triage alerts, tune detection use-cases, and escalate incidents with documented playbooks.
- Incident Response: Lead first/second-level IR activities—containment, eradication, recovery—while preserving evidence and producing post-incident reports (PIRs).
- Vulnerability Management: Schedule scans, validate findings, prioritize CVEs, and drive patch/mitigation with infra/app owners; verify closure.

- Awareness & Training: Run targeted security awareness and phishing simulation campaigns; measure and report behavior improvements.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly dashboards/KPIs (incidents, MTTD/MTTR, patch SLAs, risk posture) for leadership reviews.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Security / IT / Software Engineering (recognized institution).
- Professional Certifications (preferred): CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 LA/LI, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant, progressive experience in information security, including hands-on exposure to SOC/SIEM, incident response, vulnerability management, and policy/governance. Experience in large multi-site or public-sector environments is a plus.
- Tools/Platforms (nice to have): Any enterprise SIEM/EDR, vulnerability scanners, cloud security posture tools, ticketing/ITSM, and reporting/BI.
