Eligibility (as per service rules)
A. Basic Qualification (any one):
- MBBS or equivalent recognized by PMC/PMDC and FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/Diplomat American Board in the respective specialty (Oncology) or equivalent, recognized by PMC/PMDC.
If none available with the above: - MBBS recognized by PMC/PMDC and FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/Diplomat American Board in General Medicine or General Surgery (whichever is relevant) plus 3 years’ post-graduation practical experience in Oncology from a recognized institute.
B. Teaching/Research:
- Five (05) years’ teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the specialty at a recognized institution with 3 research papers in a standard medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.
Important notes (medical posts):
- PMC registration must be valid up to the closing date (or renewal proof submitted by the closing date).
- Research papers must be relevant original articles published on/before the closing date, in journals indexed by PMC/PMDC/PubMed/Index Medicus/Embase, etc.
- Experience acceptance rules for public/private/foreign institutions apply as per notice.
Skills Requirements
- Clinical Oncology: chemotherapy protocols, radiotherapy planning interface, tumor boards, palliative pathways.
- Teaching & Mentoring: PG/UG curriculum delivery, bedside teaching, assessment, supervision of trainees.
- Research & Publication: maintain research output that meets PMC/PMDC and departmental standards.
- Administration: service audits, M&M meetings, MDT coordination, compliance with hospital SOPs.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized oncology care; lead tumor board participation and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Teach and supervise residents/trainees; contribute to curriculum and assessments.
- Lead/assist research, audits, and QA initiatives; ensure publication standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across affiliated teaching hospitals.
