Job Summary

MEPCO is seeking a visionary Chief Information Technology & Systems to lead the enterprise-level IT operations at its headquarters in Multan. The role requires strategic leadership in IT management, digital transformation, cybersecurity, enterprise platforms, and IT governance. This is a contractual position for 3 years, extendable based on performance, with a competitive market-based salary package ranging from PKR 800,000 to 1,000,000 per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level IT operations, including network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise platforms.
• Oversee automation initiatives, ERP systems management (SAP, Oracle), and digital transformation projects.
• Implement data governance frameworks, business intelligence tools, and IT analytics strategies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies, regulatory requirements, and data protection laws.
• Manage IT teams, vendor coordination, procurement of IT systems, and stakeholder communication.
• Develop and implement IT roadmaps aligned with MEPCO’s strategic objectives.
• Monitor IT budgets, cost optimization, and resource allocation for projects.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in IT services for enhanced operational efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Minimum 16 years of education in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
• Experience: At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in IT management, including 2 years in a senior leadership role such as CIO, CTO, or DG IT. Experience in energy, utilities, or large-scale organizations is preferred.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Leadership of large-scale IT organizations.
  • Expertise in digital transformation, ERP systems, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT governance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Remuneration

Market-based competitive salary package (PKR 800,000 to 1,000,000 per month) with additional benefits. Annual performance appraisal will be conducted by the MEPCO Board of Directors. The position is contractual, non-pensionable, and will not be converted into a permanent position.
