Job Details
Position: Chief Legal Officer (CLO)
No. of Positions: 1
Contract Term: 3 years (extendable one time upon performance, not exceeding 65 years of age)
Place of Posting: MEPCO Headquarters, Multan
Reporting To: CEO / Board of Directors

Estimated Salary: PKR 800,000 – 1,000,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MEPCO’s legal affairs and advise the CEO and Board on corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MoUs, service agreements, and legal instruments.
- Manage dispute resolution, litigation, and regulatory compliance across corporate operations.
- Provide strategic preventive legal guidance and risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with NEPRA, SECP, PPRA, SOE Act 2023, and Companies Act 2017.
- Supervise and mentor the legal team while fostering a culture of ethical leadership.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Minimum 16 years of education in Law (LL.B mandatory). LL.M or Barrister-at-Law from a recognized institution is an advantage.
- Professional License: Licensed Advocate of the High Court.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years post-qualification legal experience; at least 5 years in a leadership role heading legal affairs in large-scale national, multinational, or public sector organizations.
- Proven expertise in corporate law, contract management, dispute resolution, regulatory matters, and providing strategic legal advice to senior management.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, contractual, and procurement laws.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
