Role Summary
Army Public School & College (APS&C) Fort Road, Rawalpindi seeks a Female Nurse to lead day-to-day campus health services with professionalism, empathy, and discipline. Key Responsibilities
- Medical Room Operations
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and readiness-checked infirmary with daily logs.
- Conduct triage, measure vitals, and provide first aid for minor injuries, allergies, fainting, or sports incidents.
- Implement BLS protocols when required and coordinate rapid escalation to emergency services.
- Clinical Care & Procedures
- Perform basic procedures within scope (dressing, temperature control, hydration, glucose checks where applicable).
- Administer medications only as per written approvals/prescriptions and school policy; maintain secure storage and expiry checks.
- Support vaccination/health campaigns conducted by authorized bodies; manage consent and post-care observation.
- Health Records & Compliance
- Build and update student medical files: history, allergies, chronic conditions, and emergency contacts.
- Maintain incident reports, referral notes, and follow-up documentation for audit readiness.
- Prepare monthly dashboards for administration (case types, response times, referrals, supplies consumption).
- Well-Being & Prevention
- Run awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition basics, hydration, and seasonal illness prevention.
- Advise sports and activity heads on warm-up routines, injury prevention, and recovery guidance.
- Conduct checks on sanitation and first-aid kits across labs, sports areas, and buses; flag gaps with corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Communicate clearly with parents/guardians after incidents; provide summaries and recommendations.
- Maintain a referral network with nearby hospitals/clinics and handle transport coordination for emergencies.
- Work with counsellors and teachers on students needing additional support or health accommodations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: FA/F.Sc with recognized Nursing qualifications/certifications.
- Experience: 10+ years in reputable hospitals or institutions; Retired Armed Forces Nurse (AMC) strongly preferred.
- Capabilities: Confident in First Aid, BLS, basic procedures, observation & documentation, and patient communication.
- Digital Skills: Basic MS Office for logs, reports, and communication.
