About the Role

The General Manager Mechanical and Chemical role is a senior leadership position at a fast-growing private limited company in Pakistan. As General Manager Mechanical and Chemical, you will own plant and building systems reliability (HVAC, utilities, fire/life-safety), scale maintenance excellence for production assets, and drive energy and process improvements that directly impact cost, quality, and uptime.

Key Responsibilities (General Manager Mechanical and Chemical)

  • Lead end-to-end O&M for HVAC, utilities, boilers, compressors, chilling plants, water treatment, fire systems, and production equipment.
  • Build and execute a world-class preventive & predictive maintenance program (CMMS, RCFA, spares strategy, criticality ranking).
  • Ensure HSE compliance and statutory inspections; maintain technical SOPs, permits, and calibration records.
  • Deliver energy optimization (BMS/EMS KPIs, heat recovery, leaks, demand management).
  • Manage turnarounds, shutdowns, and major overhauls; approve methods, BOQs, and QA/QC plans.
  • Lead vendor/AMC governance, service-level performance, and budget control.
  • Coach multi-disciplinary teams; set KPIs for reliability, OEE, and downtime reduction.
  • Partner with production, QA, supply chain, and projects to hit delivery, cost, and quality targets.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Education: BE/BS (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) from an HEC-recognized university (PEC registration preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years in a relevant field, including hands-on O&M leadership for HVAC/MEP, utilities, and production assets in industrial/high-rise or large plant environments.
  • Plus Points: Exposure to high-rise building systems, modern CMMS, energy audits, and cross-functional project delivery.
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, stakeholder management, risk assessment, structured documentation, and crisp communication.
