Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Architecture & Delivery: Translate program needs into scalable application and data architectures—covering user portals, web forms, APIs, and analytics dashboards.
• Systems Administration: Provision and maintain servers or cloud services, databases, storage, SSL/CDN, and monitoring; ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Data Engineering & Integrations: Build pipelines for data collection, validation, transformation, and secure exchange with HEC or partner systems; define data dictionaries and lineage.
• Information Security: Enforce IAM with least-privilege roles, MFA, configuration baselines, encryption, patching, vulnerability scans, and incident response runbooks.
• Governance & Controls: Implement maker–checker for deployments/config changes; preserve audit-ready logs, change history, and evidence repositories.
• Performance & Reliability: Track SLAs/SLOs, tune databases and queries, plan capacity, and optimize costs while maintaining reliability.
• Stakeholder Support: Operate a structured ticketing/triage flow; coordinate with program teams, university focal persons, and vendors for timely resolutions and enhancements.
• Documentation & Training: Maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and user guides; conduct onboarding and refresher sessions for staff and partners.
• Vendor & Tooling Management: Evaluate platforms, manage vendor deliverables, and ensure alignment with security, performance, and scope requirements.
• Other tasks assigned by the competent authority to achieve program outcomes.

Eligibility & Experience for HEC IT Manager PPS 09 Jobs

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s (16 years) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Telecom, or equivalent (at least Second Division) from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Experience: Five (05) years relevant, post-qualification experience in reputable public or private organizations.
• Technical Breadth:
  • Administration of Linux/Windows servers; containerized or cloud workloads
  • Database administration and query optimization (RDBMS essentials)
