Eligibility (as per service rules)

  • Education: Sixteen (16) years of education (Second Division) in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology from an HEC-recognized university AND
  • Experience: Five (05) years’ experience in the relevant field in public or private sector (private experience acceptable if the entity is registered with SECP or any other regulator).

Skills Requirements

  • Software & DevOps: lifecycle management, version control, CI/CD basics, bug tracking, and documentation.

  • Governance: compliance with departmental IT policies, access controls, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize HED’s IT systems, networks, and enterprise applications.
  • Lead implementation of new tools/solutions; coordinate with vendors and government bodies.
  • Ensure security & continuity: backups, patching, endpoint protection, and incident response.
  • Provide user support & training; maintain asset inventory and documentation.
  • Prepare technical reports and inputs for departmental reviews and audits.

Written Test / Interview

  • Syllabus: Qualification-related (100%) — CS/SE/IT core areas as per PPSC pattern.
