Clinical Scope and Anesthetic Responsibilities
The Anaesthetist administers general, regional, and neuroaxial anesthesia for emergency and elective surgeries. Key duties include conducting preoperative assessments, managing intraoperative hemodynamics, overseeing the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), directing ICU ventilator therapy, and leading resuscitation teams during cardiac arrest codes.
