Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) Limited seeks applications via the National Testing Service (NTS) from qualified software and data professionals for the post of Assistant Manager (Meter Data Management) to support its Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) operations in Gujranwala.
Institutional Context and Smart Metering Mandate
Under the national power sector efficiency roadmap, GEPCO is deploying smart electric meters to eliminate line losses, monitor feeder-level load curves, and automate consumer energy billing. The Meter Data Management System (MDMS) serves as the computational heart of this infrastructure, ingesting high-frequency interval meter reads and processing telemetry data from millions of consumption points.
Operational Responsibilities and Analytics Scope
The Assistant Manager (Meter Data Management) manages the validation, estimation, and editing (VEE) workflows of raw metering telemetry. Core responsibilities include monitoring automated daily meter data collection schedules, identifying abnormal load fluctuations and power theft anomalies through automated data analytics, reconciling meter read discrepancies with consumer billing engines, generating feeder loss reports, and coordinating technical fixes with field metering teams.
Application Preparation and Document Checklist
Eligible candidates should organize their academic documents and professional records before applying:
- Up-to-date professional CV detailing software development, data analytics, or MDMS utility experience.
