Institutional Context & Operational Scope
The Aircraft Engineer executes line and base maintenance tasks, structural troubleshooting, avionics maintenance, and power-plant systems inspections on the BAC fleet. Operating in strict accordance with PCAA airworthiness notices and manufacturer maintenance manuals, the role guarantees airworthiness release and uninterrupted fleet availability.
Core Responsibilities & Work Functions
The daily operational scope and functional deliverables for this role include:
- Perform scheduled transit, pre-flight, and daily inspections on Learjet 45, MI-171, and Cessna 208B aircraft.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and avionics anomalies using specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Issue Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) following successful completion of maintenance tasks and defect rectification.
- Ensure precision recording of technical logs, component life tracking, and mandatory regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with ground crews and technical stores for the timely acquisition and installation of certified replacement components.
