The Captain (C208B) acts as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan fleet operated by the Balochistan Aviation Company. This role demands exceptional airmanship, precise navigation across mountainous and challenging terrain in Balochistan, and strict adherence to PCAA flight operations regulations, passenger safety mandates, and VIP transit protocols.
Core Responsibilities & Work Functions
The daily operational scope and functional deliverables for this role include:
- Command Cessna 208B flights adhering to standard operating procedures, flight dispatch releases, and meteorological limitations.
- Execute thorough pre-flight aircraft inspections, weight and balance calculations, and passenger briefing protocols.
- Manage cockpit workload effectively, maintaining high situational awareness during visual and instrument flight operations.
- Collaborate closely with flight operations officers, ground support crews, and air traffic control authorities throughout all flight phases.
- Complete post-flight technical debriefs, defect logging, and flight duty time records in compliance with PCAA mandates.
