The Crew Chief / Flight Engineer assists flight deck crews during in-flight operations, rotary-wing transport missions, and specialized air ambulance evacuations across Balochistan. The role demands in-depth mechanical mastery of helicopter powerplants, avionics, hoist systems, and rapid turn-around maintenance during field deployments.
Core Responsibilities & Work Functions
The daily operational scope and functional deliverables for this role include:
- Monitor in-flight engine parameters, fuel transfer systems, and mechanical instrumentation alongside the pilot-in-command.
- Conduct tactical pre-flight and turnaround mechanical checks at remote helipads and forward landing strips.
- Ensure rapid configuration and technical readiness of air ambulance life-support modules and patient transport systems.
- Direct ground passenger boarding, cargo load distribution, and rotary-wing rotor clearance safety protocols.
- Execute immediate defect trouble-shooting and mechanical support away from main operating base.
