The Market Committee Warburton, District Nankana Sahib, operating under the Directorate General of Agriculture (Economics & Marketing) Punjab, invites applications from eligible candidates for the temporary contingent position of Computer Operator / Data Entry Operator for the financial year 2026-27.
Role Overview and Digital Record Responsibilities
The Computer Operator / Data Entry Operator is responsible for digitizing daily commodity arrivals (fruits, vegetables, and grain markets), issuing market fee vouchers, maintaining computerized auction logs, preparing price index reports for the Agriculture Department dashboard, and supporting administrative communications at the Warburton Mandi office.
Candidate Profile and Technical Competencies
Candidates must hold an Intermediate certificate along with a recognized IT/Computer certificate of at least 3 months duration from TEVTA or an equivalent government-certified institute. Proficiency in computerized data entry is mandatory, requiring a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Urdu typing. Experience in market committee operations will be given preference. Age limit is 18 to 40 years.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
Appointment is on a daily-wage contingent basis for an initial duration of 75 days under the Punjab Finance Department Schedule of Wage Rates 2025, extendable based on performance and seasonal requirements. The position is temporary and confers no claim to regular employment.
