The Health & Population Department, Government of the Punjab, is seeking experienced medical specialists for the position of Physician (Consultant in Internal Medicine) under the Chief Minister Punjab Initiatives for Hospitals of Lahore. Appointees will receive a lucrative Special Pay Package to head medical wards, outpatient departments, and intensive care management across Lahore public hospitals.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Physician will diagnose and manage multisystem diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, infectious illnesses, and metabolic disorders. Responsibilities encompass supervising inpatient medical wards, advising emergency medical teams, and leading clinical grand rounds.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Applicants must possess an MBBS degree and an FCPS, MD, MRCP, or equivalent qualification in General/Internal Medicine recognized by PMDC. Active registration with PMDC and solid experience in high-volume tertiary hospital inpatient care are required.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
The appointment is purely on a contract basis under the Punjab Government Special Pay Package guidelines, subject to regular performance evaluations.
