The Engineering Development Board (EDB), Ministry of Industries & Production, invites applications from senior engineering specialists for six (06) project positions of Consultants (PPS-11) under the initiative "Strengthening the Engineering Industry-SEI".
Institutional Context and Technical Upgradation Mandate
The Engineering Development Board serves as the federal government's focal authority for technological upgrades across core industrial manufacturing sectors. Through specialized consultancy teams, EDB conducts deep technical diagnostics of Pakistani industrial manufacturing facilities to introduce international quality standards, energy efficiency, automation, and advanced manufacturing practices.
Specialized Disciplines and Technical Scope
Consultants are required across six specialized domains: Chemical/ Petrochemicals, Steel & Other Metals, Electrical/ Capital Goods, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Process Engineering, and Engineering Services. The appointed consultants will formulate sectoral roadmaps, assess domestic manufacturing capabilities, review technological standards and deletion programs, design technology transfer frameworks, recommend import substitution measures, and provide technical guidance on industrial modernization to government bodies.
