Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Dental Technician is tasked with fabricating dental prostheses, dentures, crowns, bridges, and orthodontic appliances according to dental surgeons prescriptions. Duties also encompass preparing plaster models, operating dental laboratory casting machinery, maintaining dental chair equipment, and sterilizing dental surgical instruments.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Applicants must possess an F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) qualification alongside a recognized Diploma in Dental Technology from the Punjab Medical Faculty (PMF) or equivalent regulatory body. Practical familiarity with modern dental laboratory materials and hygiene safety standards is required.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
Recruitment is on a contract basis under the Punjab Government Special Pay Package regulations and does not confer civil service regularization rights.
