The transport wing operates a fleet of passenger coasters, faculty vans, ambulances, and administrative staff vehicles facilitating uninterrupted daily transit for students, university officers, visiting academic dignitaries, and emergency services.
Operational Duties and Vehicle Management Scope
The appointed Driver is responsible for safe, punctilious, and disciplined transit operations across university routes and designated official travel schedules. Primary duty responsibilities encompass:
- Safe operation of university vans, cars, and passenger transport vehicles across intra-campus routes and inter-city official assignments.
- Conducting mandatory daily pre-trip vehicle checks, including engine oil, coolant levels, brake fluids, tire pressure, and battery health.
- Maintaining official vehicle logbooks with accurate entries of mileage, fuel consumption, travel destinations, and authorized passenger details.
- Ensuring vehicles are kept clean, sanitized, and maintained in roadworthy condition at all times.
- Adhering strictly to motor vehicle laws, university campus speed limits, passenger safety regulations, and prompt incident reporting protocols.
