Role Overview and Municipal Hygiene
Field Monitoring Officers operate as the front-line inspection team of SWMC, ensuring sanitary workers, mechanical sweepers, and compactor vehicles adhere to cleanliness schedules across designated city zones and commercial markets.
Daily Duties and Field Monitoring Scope
The Field Monitoring Officer conducts daily street-level sanitation audits, verifies waste container clearances, records attendance of sanitary staff, monitors door-to-door waste collection efficiency, and reports illegal dumping spots. The officer also resolves civic cleanliness grievances received through the 1139 helpline.
