Role Overview and Workshop Duties
Foremen Grade-I manage workshop bays, component overhaul sections, and assembly lines within railway carriage manufacturing and repair workshops. Responsibilities include supervising carriage rehabilitation, monitoring welding and sheet-metal fabrication, maintaining shop machinery, and enforcing production safety standards.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Only retired Pakistan Railways employees who served in Carriage & Wagon supervisory cadres with a DAE in Mechanical Engineering and 20 years of rolling stock maintenance experience are eligible. Maximum age limit is 62 years.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
Contract appointment for one year, extendable for an additional year. Salary is determined based on last pay drawn in BS-14 plus standard allowances.
