Role Overview and Locomotive Engineering Duties
Foremen Grade-I supervise heavy mechanical overhaul, electrical propulsion systems, traction alternators, and computerized engine management systems across diesel locomotive workshops and running sheds. Duties include diagnosing traction faults, overseeing component re-machining, and certifying locomotive road-readiness.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Open to retired Pakistan Railways supervisory staff with a DAE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of locomotive engineering experience. Maximum age is 62 years.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
Contract appointment for one year, extendable for one year. Remuneration drawn in BS-14 based on last pay drawn.
