The Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA) is hiring a specialist for the post of Forensic Scientist (Questioned Document) on a Special Pay Package in Lahore.
Document Examination and Scientific Responsibilities
The scientist investigates contested documents, disputed signatures, and fraudulent instruments. Key duties include:
- Conducting scientific handwriting and signature comparisons using microscopic and computerized analysis.
- Performing non-destructive optical examinations of inks, paper substrates, security features, and obliterations using Video Spectral Comparators (VSC).
- Examining indented writing using Electrostatic Detection Apparatus (ESDA) and identifying counterfeit currency/passports.
- Preparing forensic reports and providing expert witness evidence in judicial courts.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility
Applicants must hold an MS/M.Phil. in Chemistry or a Pharm-D degree from an HEC-recognized institution with three (03) years of relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory. Age: 28 to 35 years. Punjab Domicile.
Salary and Terms
Monthly salary is Rs. 325,000/- per month + 10% annual increase (half salary during training) on a 3-year contract.
