Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Gynaecologist will conduct antenatal and postnatal clinics, oversee labor and delivery suites, and perform emergency Caesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparotomies for ruptured ectopic pregnancies, and elective gynecological procedures. The specialist will guide midwifery teams and manage high-risk obstetric emergencies.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Candidates must hold an MBBS accompanied by an FCPS, MS, or equivalent PMDC-accredited qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Active PMDC registration and surgical proficiency in maternal and gynecological surgery are mandatory.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
Recruitment is strictly on a contract basis under the Government of Punjab Special Pay Package policy without conferring regularization rights.
