The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), widely known as CBD Punjab, has announced the CBD Punjab Technical Internship 2026 under its flagship Youth Career Program (YCP). This initiative offers graduating engineers, architects, and urban planners practical immersion in Pakistan's primary high-density commercial infrastructure venture.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Technical interns will collaborate directly with seasoned engineering directors and project managers overseeing large-scale civil works, high-rise architectural blueprints, and smart city services across Lahore. Key technical exposures include:
- Assisting project supervision teams during active on-site structural works, road networks, and utility infrastructure installations.
- Reviewing architectural drawings, structural calculations, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) schematics.
- Participating in urban planning reviews, spatial zoning assessments, and master-plan compliance checks.
- Supporting technical documentation, site inspection reports, project scheduling, and quality assurance workflows.
- Observing modern health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols on active development sites.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility Nuances
Candidates must possess an HEC-recognized four-year bachelor's or master's degree (minimum 16 years of formal education) in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, or Construction Project Management. A minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 is mandatory. This opening is reserved exclusively for fresh graduates up to 25 years of age who have completed their academic coursework.
Nature of Appointment & Terms
The position is a full-time, structured paid internship for a fixed duration of up to three months. The internship provides rigorous professional grooming and practical municipal engineering experience. The engagement does not confer any right to regular employment or permanent appointment within the Authority.
