The Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA) invites applications for four (04) posts of Junior Forensic Scientist (Firearm & Tool Marks) on a Special Pay Package at PFSA Lahore.
Laboratory Duties and Ballistics Support
Junior Forensic Scientists assist senior ballistics experts in examining firearms and tool marks. Duties include:
- Receiving, cataloging, and documenting questioned firearms, ammunition, and tool mark impressions.
- Preparing firearms for test-firing and recovering test bullets and cartridge cases in water recovery systems.
- Operating comparison microscopes and digital measuring tools for microscopic comparison.
- Maintaining laboratory calibration records and assisting in report generation.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility
Applicants must hold an MS/M.Phil. in Physics or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. Age bracket: 23 to 35 years. Punjab Domicile.
Salary and Appointment Terms
The post carries a Special Pay Package of Rs. 200,000/- per month + 10% annual increment (half salary during training) on a 3-year contract.
