The Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA) invites online applications for three (03) posts of Junior Forensic Scientist (Narcotics) on a Special Pay Package at PFSA Lahore.
Seized Drug Analysis and Chemical Screening
The Junior Scientist conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses of seized illicit narcotics. Duties include:
- Performing preliminary color spot tests and microcrystalline examinations on seized powders, tablets, and plant materials.
- Preparing drug samples for instrumental analysis using FTIR, GC-MS, and HPLC.
- Identifying synthetic opioids, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, and designer drugs.
- Assisting in weight verifications and chain of custody documentation.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility
Candidates must hold an MS/M.Phil. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Forensic Science, Pharmacology, or Pharmaceutics, OR a Pharm-D degree from an HEC-recognized university. Age: 23 to 35 years. Punjab Domicile.
Salary and Appointment Terms
Salary is Rs. 200,000/- per month + 10% annual increase (half salary during training) on a 3-year contract.
