The Market Committee Okara, Punjab Department of Agriculture and Food Safety, is recruiting 14 dedicated individuals for the post of Khakrob (Sanitation Staff) on a contingent-paid daily wages basis under reference IPL-10087.
Role Overview and Sanitation Duties
Khakrobs are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the auction sheds, vegetable and fruit markets, grain yards, public pathways, and administrative premises of Market Committee Okara. Duties include sweeping, waste disposal, cleaning drainage channels, and keeping market sheds sanitised during high-traffic morning auctions.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Applicants must be healthy, physically energetic, and capable of rigorous physical sanitation work. The age limit is 20 to 45 years. Preference will be given to candidates with past daily wage experience in market committees or municipal sanitation departments.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
The appointment is temporary for 75 days, extendable only for financial year 2026-27 upon satisfactory work. Renumeration is paid on daily wage schedules established by the Government of the Punjab. This engagement does not grant any right to permanent regular government employment.
