Hospital linen hygiene is a vital component of infection control in oncology care. SKMCH&RC operates modern commercial laundry equipment to disinfect, wash, and iron patient linens, surgical drapes, and staff uniforms under strict biosafety protocols.
Daily Duties and Laundry Operations
The Laundry Attendant collects, sorts, and loads soiled linens into industrial washing and drying machines using prescribed chemical disinfectants. Responsibilities include inspecting linens for stains or tears, operating calenders and pressing equipment, folding clean linens, and delivering sterile linen bundles to intensive care units and oncology wards.
