The Health & Population Department, Government of the Punjab, is recruiting specialist doctors for the post of Orthopaedic Specialist / Surgeon under the Chief Minister Punjab Initiatives for Hospitals of Lahore. Appointed specialists will work under the Special Pay Package structure to bolster trauma care, fracture management, and elective musculoskeletal surgeries in Lahore hospitals.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
Appointees will manage acute trauma cases, closed and open fracture reductions, internal and external fixations, arthroplasties, tendon repairs, and spinal stabilization. Responsibilities also include conducting outpatient musculoskeletal clinics, rehabilitation oversight, and mentoring resident surgeons.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Applicants must hold an MBBS with an FCPS or MS in Orthopaedic Surgery recognized by PMDC. A valid PMDC registration and proven proficiency in modern orthopedic trauma management are required.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
The appointment is contract-based under the Punjab Special Pay Package framework and does not entail absorption into regular provincial cadres.
