The Health & Population Department, Government of the Punjab, is recruiting personnel for the position of Pharmacy Technician / Dispenser under the Chief Minister Punjab Initiatives for Hospitals of Lahore. Selected staff will serve under a Special Pay Package across indoor and outdoor hospital pharmacies in Lahore to manage accurate medication dispensing and inventory control.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
Appointees will dispense prescribed medications to indoor and outdoor patients, verify prescription dosages, label pharmaceuticals with proper usage instructions, and maintain inventory registers. Responsibilities also include tracking medicine expiry dates, maintaining cold chain protocols for vaccines and thermolabile drugs, and managing emergency drug reserves.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Applicants must possess Matriculation with Science and hold a Diploma in Pharmacy Technician (Category-B) issued by the Punjab Pharmacy Council or a Dispenser Diploma from the Punjab Medical Faculty. Valid registration and hands-on familiarity with hospital dispensing protocols are required.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
The appointment is contractual under the Punjab Government Special Pay Package scheme and does not confer entitlement to regular civil service absorption.
