The PMIU data center hosts high-capacity network switches, virtualized server clusters, and enterprise firewalls connecting headquarters to district offices. The Network and System Administrator manages round-the-clock connectivity, network security, and server performance.
Core Responsibilities & Work Functions
The daily operational scope and functional deliverables for this role include:
- Administer enterprise network routers, managed Layer-3 switches, firewalls, and secure VPN tunnels.
- Configure and maintain Linux and Windows virtualized server environments, ensuring continuous uptime.
- Implement network monitoring solutions to detect bandwidth bottlenecks, packet loss, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise email systems for PMIU headquarters and field units.
- Enforce network security policies, regular firmware updates, and scheduled offsite backup routines.
