The University of Narowal (UON) invites applications from highly qualified, dynamic Pakistani male and female academics for appointment as Visiting Faculty Professor for the 2026–2027 academic year (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters). This academic opportunity is open across the disciplines of Computer Science & Information Technology, English, Food Science and Technology, Physical Education, and Pharmacy at the main campus in Narowal.
Role Overview & Academic Responsibilities
As a senior visiting faculty member at professorial rank, the appointee will provide high-level academic leadership, deliver postgraduate and undergraduate lectures, and mentor students across their respective academic disciplines. Core responsibilities include:
- Designing course outlines, comprehensive syllabi, and instructional strategies aligned with Higher Education Commission (HEC) academic standards.
- Delivering specialized lectures, laboratory guidance, and seminar discussions for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
- Conducting course assessments, midterm examinations, practical evaluations, and grading academic submissions.
- Mentoring junior faculty members and advising research students on academic projects and research methodologies.
- Upholding academic excellence, ethical research conduct, and institutional integrity in university departments.
Candidate Profile & Academic Nuances
Candidates must hold a PhD in the relevant discipline and possess distinguished university-level teaching and post-doctoral research experience. Candidates should have a verifiable record of publications in HEC-recognized impact-factor journals and meet all statutory criteria established by the Higher Education Commission for Professorial appointments. Candidates must be Pakistani nationals holding a valid CNIC.
Nature of Appointment & Terms
This engagement is strictly on a visiting/part-time basis for the 2026–2027 academic year (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters). Remuneration is fixed at the official approved visiting faculty rate of PKR 3,000 per credit hour. The visiting faculty engagement does not confer any title, right, or claim for regularization or permanent absorption in university service.
