The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is hiring experienced professionals for two (02) posts of Project Manager (PPS-07) under the PSDP development project entitled "Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (Phase-III)" located at HEC Headquarters, Islamabad.
Role Overview and Operational Duties
The Project Manager coordinates the operational and administrative implementation of international postdoctoral fellowships. Core duties include:
- Managing the intake, peer-review evaluation, and award letter issuance for postdoctoral researchers.
- Facilitating university placements, supervisor approvals, and research grant compliance.
- Maintaining project schedules, financial expenditure sheets, and milestone deliveries using MS Project.
- Compiling progress documentation and impact assessment reports for funding authorities.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility
Applicants must possess a 16-year Bachelor's or Master's degree (at least second division) from an HEC-recognized university, coupled with a minimum of five (05) years of relevant professional experience, including at least two (02) years of mid-level management experience. High proficiency in MS Office and MS Project is required. The upper age limit is 40 years. Vacancies are allocated to Punjab (01 post) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (01 post).
Remuneration and Engagement Terms
The position carries an all-inclusive pay package of Rs. 212,630/- per month under Project Pay Scale (PPS-07) on a contract basis. Engagement on a project basis does not establish any title to permanent regularization in HEC.
