Tariq Glass Industries Limited is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to join its plant procurement department at Sheikhupura. As Pakistan's largest glass manufacturing enterprise, the company maintains continuous furnace operations requiring timely and rigorous procurement of technical spares and industrial consumables.
Role Overview & Core Responsibilities
The Purchase Officer will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for industrial machinery parts, mechanical components, electrical spares, and routine maintenance consumables. Duties include developing supplier bases, obtaining and analyzing vendor quotations, executing purchase orders in SAP, tracking supply timelines, resolving supplier invoice discrepancies, and coordinating with plant maintenance engineers to ensure zero downtime.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (BA or B.Com) and have 5 to 7 years of specialized procurement experience within a reputable manufacturing setup, preferably in a continuous process manufacturing or glass industry. Candidates must be able to operate independently in SAP procurement modules and demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office.
