The Punjab School Education Department invites applications for the post of School Teacher Intern (Higher Secondary Level) to deliver advanced secondary and higher secondary instruction across high and higher secondary schools in Punjab.
Program Significance and Secondary Education Scope
Secondary and higher secondary education prepares students for board examinations (BISE) and professional university entrance. Under the STI initiative, high-achieving subject specialists are placed in public schools to teach specialized curriculum subjects and guide senior students toward academic success.
Professional Duties and Academic Functions
The Higher Secondary Intern delivers subject-specialist lectures in science and humanities disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, English, etc.). Core duties involve conducting syllabus-aligned lectures, supervising practical laboratory experiments, administering rigorous preparatory tests, identifying learning gaps in board-appearing classes, and supporting school administrative committees.
Preparation Checklist for Applicants
Candidates should compile the following documents:
- Attested copies of Master's / BS degree and HEC verified transcripts.
- Attested copies of B.Ed / M.Ed certificates if held.
- Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and Punjab domicile certificate.
- Recent passport-sized photographs.
- Experience certificates from teaching institutions where applicable.
Submission Logistics and Timeline
Eligible candidates must apply through the online portal (https://sti.pesrp.edu.pk/) by October 18, 2026. Interviews will be conducted by district committees from October 29 to 30, 2026. The monthly stipend for higher secondary level interns is PKR 45,000/-.
