Applications are invited by the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department for the prestigious senior specialist position of Senior Consultant (Electrophysiology) at Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology (NSIC), Sargodha.
Clinical Responsibilities & Specialized Procedures
The Senior Consultant leads the cardiac electrophysiology lab and rhythm disorders service. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing complex EP studies, radiofrequency ablations, and 3D mapping for supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias.
- Implanting and programming permanent pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices.
- Managing specialized pacemaker and arrhythmia clinics, providing advanced consultative rhythm services.
- Mentoring junior clinical staff, advancing EP training curriculums, and establishing high clinical standards.
Eligibility and Qualifications
MBBS with FCPS / MD / MRCP with CCT / Diplomate American Board in Electrophysiology recognized by PM&DC, plus at least nine (09) years of post-graduation clinical experience in the specialty. Minimum five (05) research publications in recognized journals. Age limit is 38 to 55 years.
