Key Responsibilities and Operational Scope
The Senior Registrar directly oversees clinical ward management and assists in complex surgical procedures. Core responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily pediatric surgical rounds, pre-operative clinical workups, and post-operative monitoring in surgical intensive care units.
- Performing emergency and elective pediatric operations under the supervision of senior faculty and attending surgeons.
- Managing surgical outpatient clinics (OPD), addressing emergency referrals from tertiary care hospitals across Sindh.
- Guiding junior medical officers, house physicians, and nursing staff in critical patient care and trauma management.
