A renowned Public Sector Organization in Rawalpindi requires an experienced heavy equipment specialist for the technical post of Special Vehicle Operator-III (Static) (SPS-03). This role operates stationary industrial power plants, heavy winches, stationary compressors, and specialized static mechanical installations.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Special Vehicle Operator-III (Static) oversees the operational readiness and control of stationary heavy plant machinery. Core duties include:
- Operating stationary heavy machinery, hydraulic power packs, static diesel pumping units, and high-capacity air compressors.
- Monitoring operational parameters including pressure gauges, oil temperatures, vibration indicators, and fuel flows.
- Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, and valve inspections.
- Logging daily equipment runtimes, fuel consumption, mechanical anomalies, and safety interlock tests.
- Ensuring strict compliance with industrial safety codes, emergency shutoff protocols, and environmental standards.
Candidate Profile & Eligibility Nuances
Civilian applicants must hold Matriculation, a valid civil HTV license, and a minimum of 6 years of verifiable experience operating static industrial plant equipment. Ex-servicemen with 11 years of military trade experience in static machinery and exemplary discharge character are eligible. Trade testing will evaluate mechanical aptitude and operational safety.
Nature of Appointment & Terms
The position is offered on a contract basis under the SPS-03 scale, extendable based on performance up to superannuation.
