A premier public sector nuclear power organization invites qualified electrical and instrumentation engineering technicians to appear for walk-in interviews for the contingent position of Sr. Tech (Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control) to execute high-precision maintenance during its upcoming major plant shutdown turnaround at Karachi.
Institutional Context and Generating Facility Overview
The Karachi Nuclear Power Complex operates advanced commercial nuclear power generation units delivering critical baseload electricity to the southern transmission grid. Periodic planned shutdown turnarounds require intensive overhauls, regulatory compliance inspections, and scheduled recalibrations across safety-related electrical systems and digital instrumentation networks to maintain international operational benchmarks.
Operational Scope and Technical Turnaround Duties
The Senior Technician executes comprehensive preventative maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting on switchgear assemblies, motor control centers, high-voltage transformers, and field sensors. Primary responsibilities involve testing process control loops, calibrating electronic transmitters, inspecting nuclear-grade cabling, repairing actuation mechanisms, and supporting engineering supervisors in executing safety-critical plant modifications under stringent nuclear quality assurance protocols.
Application Preparation and Document Checklist
Candidates appearing for walk-in interviews must bring the following documents organized in an orderly folder:
