Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) invites applications for the executive transport post of Staff Car Driver to VC (BPS-11) attached to the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat at the AIOU Main Campus in Islamabad under reference PID(I)2823/26.
Role Overview and Driving Responsibilities
The Staff Car Driver to the Vice Chancellor provides dedicated executive chauffeur and protocol transportation services. Key duties include managing official executive travel within Islamabad and across regional campuses, ensuring absolute safety, adhering strictly to road safety regulations, maintaining complete vehicle logbooks, and overseeing vehicle servicing and preventative mechanical maintenance.
Candidate Profile and Eligibility Nuances
Candidates must have passed at least Middle school (Matriculation preferred) and possess a valid HTV (PSV) driving license. A minimum of 10 years of verified driving experience catering to heads of educational institutions, corporate chief executives, or senior government dignitaries is strictly mandatory. Maximum age is 30 years inclusive of relaxation.
Nature of Appointment and Terms
The appointment is carried out on a regular/contract basis under AIOU statutory provisions. Selected personnel will be stationed at the Main Campus in Islamabad.
