Institutional Context and Clinical Mandate
SICHN operates specialized healthcare facilities for infants and children across Sindh. Staff Nurses provide compassionate bedside patient care, continuous vital signs monitoring, and medication administration under clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities and Operational Scope
Staff Nurses deliver day-to-day nursing care in pediatric wards, ICUs, and emergency triage. Duties include:
- Administering prescribed intravenous medications, fluids, and blood components with strict adherence to pediatric dosing safety.
- Monitoring continuous vital signs, oxygenation, and patient responses to treatment, promptly escalating clinical abnormalities to medical officers.
- Maintaining accurate patient nursing notes, input-output charts, and shift handover reports.
- Comforting young patients and educating caregivers on infant feeding, infection prevention, and post-discharge home care.

Qualifications
