IRSA's telemetry infrastructure captures real-time discharge figures from 27 major hydraulic sites across Pakistan. The project staff attached with WAPDA receives intensive operational training during the project and maintenance periods to support sustainable operation of national telemetry assets.
Operational Scope and Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervisors oversee site-level installation, cabling, lightning protection, and solar backup systems powering telemetry equipment at barrages and headworks. Key tasks involve inspecting field sensor housings, monitoring technical crews during scheduled maintenance, verifying operational telemetry data logs, and escalating equipment malfunctions to senior project engineers.
