System and Network Support Technician

Position Overview & Institutional Context

MTI Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex (QHAMC) Nowshera invites applications for the post of System and Network Support Technician within its IT Department. The technician will provide first-line technical support for computer terminals, Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), networking equipment, and peripheral devices across clinical wards and emergency units.

Key Responsibilities & Core Deliverables

• Troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, thermal receipt printers, and barcode scanners across hospital departments.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows OS, antivirus software, and HMIS client workstations.
• Maintain local area network (LAN) cabling, patch panels, RJ45 terminations, and access points.
• Assist in monitoring server room equipment, UPS backup power systems, and IP surveillance cameras.
• Log user support tickets and resolve hardware/software incidents within established service level targets.

Minimum Eligibility & Profile Criteria

• Qualification: DAE in Information Technology / Electronics / Computer Hardware or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on technical support experience in a networked institutional environment.
• Skills: Network cabling, hardware diagnostic skills, and responsiveness in emergency healthcare situations.
