Ticket Checkers perform frontline passenger verification and travel compliance duties onboard trains and across station boarding platforms. Primary functions encompass:
- Examining and validating passenger travel tickets, electronic booking receipts, and seat reservations before and during train journeys.
- Assisting passengers with seat allocations, carriage orientation, baggage compliance, and platform boarding assistance.
- Detecting irregular travel, issuing excess fare penalties according to commercial railway bylaws, and maintaining ticket audit logs.
