This vacancy is situated within the Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics under the international research project titled Accelerating genetic gain in wheat through hybrid breeding in Bangladesh, Ethiopia and Pakistan funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).
Standard Operational Scope & Professional Duties
The Research Associate assists the Project Manager and Principal Investigator (Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali) under both laboratory and field conditions. Primary duties involve managing experimental wheat nursery plots, conducting controlled cross-hybridizations, recording phenotyping and agronomic data, performing molecular marker assays in biotechnology labs, preparing progress reports, and liaising with international project collaborators.
