Job Detail Section
As Chowkidar III, you’ll perform campus watch duties across gates, corridors, and designated blocks. Typical shifts cover evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as per the duty roster. Expect to perform entry/exit control, verify basic identification where instructed, maintain a neat visitor and incident log, and patrol assigned zones to deter theft, vandalism, or unsafe behavior. You will secure doors, windows, labs, and stores at closing time; report unusual smells, leaks, noise, or tampering; and alert the admin focal person in case of emergencies. During the day, you may guide visitors to reception, help queue students during admissions, and support small errands (carrying items, placing signage or cones). Clean presentation, polite communication, and adherence to KIT’s SOPs are essential.
Your work is coordinated by the Manager/Admin. You’ll be expected to follow safety instructions, use basic communication devices (e.g., internal phone or provided set), and hand over duty with a clear verbal and logbook briefing. Reliability and punctuality are core performance measures.
Eligibility & Skills
- Education: Middle (8th class or equivalent).
- Preference: Physically fit, disciplined, and comfortable with roster-based shifts.

- Follow SOPs and instructions from the admin office; uphold courtesy and confidentiality.
