Job Overview

CCRI Multan invites applications for the post of Lab Assistant (PPS-05) under the PSDP project “Revival of Cotton in Pakistan: Innovation for a Sustainable Future”. This is a contractual position until 30-06-2030 or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

The Lab Assistant will support laboratory operations, assist scientists with experiments, maintain lab records, and ensure smooth functioning of all project-related lab activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Education Requirements:

• Diploma of Lab Assistant or equivalent qualification.
• F.Sc with 3 years relevant experience is also acceptable.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience in agricultural research or scientific projects.
• Experience in sample analysis, lab testing, and record maintenance will be preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to accurately record and manage lab data.
• Good communication skills for coordination with research staff.
• Organized, meticulous, and proactive in lab operations.
• Familiarity with basic lab instruments and testing methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist researchers and scientists in lab experiments and sample analysis.
• Maintain organized lab records and documentation.
• Prepare and handle samples for analysis and testing.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and project guidelines.
• Support in data collection, recording, and reporting.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of lab instruments.
• Coordinate with project staff for timely execution of laboratory tasks.

Age Limit

Maximum 35 years (age relaxation as per government rules may apply).

Job Location

CCRI Multan, Old Shujabad Road, Multan, Punjab, 60000, Pakistan.

Contract & Salary

• Contractual position under the PSDP project.
• Estimated Salary: PKR 50,000 – 70,000 per month.
