Role Overview
This LESCO Head of Health Safety Environment Quality Jobs role leads the integrated HSEQ function of LESCO. The selected professional will be responsible for embedding a proactive safety culture, enhancing regulatory compliance, and ensuring sustainable operations aligned with NEPRA power safety codes and internationally recognized management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) management framework.
- Ensure alignment of safety and quality systems with NEPRA, ISO 9001, and other applicable international standards.
- Develop and enforce policies, SOPs, and performance benchmarks to minimize operational risks and workplace incidents.
- Oversee Occupational Health, industrial hygiene, and employee wellness programs.
- Lead and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) across all operations.
- Establish QA/QC standards and ensure compliance with defined technical and regulatory requirements.
- Represent LESCO before regulators and government stakeholders, including NEPRA and relevant authorities.
- Drive environmental protection initiatives, impact assessments, pollution control, energy conservation, and sustainability goals.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and safety-driven leadership behavior at all organizational levels.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, TQM, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of total professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior supervisory or consultancy roles related to Process Safety, Occupational Health, Quality, and Environmental Management.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, ISO, HAZOP, NFPA are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience implementing HSEQ systems in public or private sector power or utility organizations.
- Strong leadership, governance, and regulatory coordination capabilities.
Contract & Compensation
- Senior contractual appointment for an initial period of three years, extendable subject to satisfactory performance.
- Competitive, market-aligned compensation package determined in line with qualifications and experience.
- Annual performance evaluation based on agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

- Maximum 57 years as of the closing date.
