Job Overview

CCRI Multan is inviting applications from qualified Pakistani nationals for the position of Network Researcher (PPS-07) on a contract basis under the PSDP project “Revival of Cotton in Pakistan: Innovation for a Sustainable Future”. The role is ideal for candidates with strong academic qualifications and hands-on experience in plant breeding, genetics, and agricultural research. The contract is valid till 30-06-2030 or until the end of the project, whichever is earlier.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research in cotton genetics, plant breeding, and related agricultural fields.
• Design, implement, and monitor experiments; analyze data using statistical software.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of research activities, results, and project documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, research papers, and project progress updates.
• Collaborate with project staff, field assistants, and other researchers to ensure research goals are met.
• Support administrative and project management tasks including monitoring budgets and resource allocation.
• Assist in training junior research staff and interns.
• Present research findings in scientific conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.

Qualification & Experience

• Ph.D. in Plant Breeding & Genetics (PBG) OR MSc (Hons) PBG with 3 years of relevant research experience.
• Hands-on experience in experimental research, crop trials, or genetics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in statistical analysis tools.
• Ability to write research proposals, technical reports, and scientific publications.
• Experience working in government or research projects is an advantage.

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years (relaxation as per government rules may apply).

Job Location: CCRI Multan, Old Shujabad Road, Multan, Punjab, 60000, Pakistan.

Contract & Salary:

• This is a contractual position under the PSDP project.
• Estimated Salary: PKR 120,000 – 150,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience, following the PPS-07 pay scale.
