Reporting to the finance function, the Associate (Accounts) helps maintain clean ledgers and timely reporting. Typical tasks include preparing/recording vouchers (cash/bank/journal), organizing supporting documents, and assisting with bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations. You’ll update trackers for receivables/arrears in coordination with Estate, compile schedules for audits, and maintain orderly working papers that evidence each transaction. Expect frequent document cross-checks (contracts, approvals, GRNs, site memos) and disciplined filing (digital/physical) to meet public-sector audit expectations. Responsibilities
- Recording & Posting: Prepare/verify vouchers and ensure prompt, accurate postings to the general/sub-ledgers with complete support.
- Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations; investigate differences and document resolutions.
- Receivables Support: Track billing/collections with Estate; update arrears summaries and follow up on pending receipts.
- Payables Support: Match invoices with approvals/receipts; prepare payment proposals and maintain vendor files.
- Period-End Schedules: Compile accruals/prepayments/aging reports; support close checklists and roll-forwards.
- Audit Readiness: Maintain organized, retrievable working papers; prepare schedules and respond to auditor queries.
- Compliance & SOPs: Follow company formats, naming conventions, and retention policies; protect confidentiality of records.
- Other duties as assigned to strengthen financial accuracy and control.
